I am Rev. Dr. Forrest James Robinson, CEO of 1 SoL Records, a native of Chicago now residing in the Western Suburbs of Chicago with my wife and my two blessed sons. All of my childhood education was in the public school system on Chicago’s south side. I attended the Univ. of Illinois where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. I completed medical school at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine where I received my medical degree of Osteopathic Medicine. I completed my residency at Cook County Hospital in Family Practice. Only by the grace of God have I been a physician for greater than 20 years. I humbly surrendered to the call of God as a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ greater than 10 years ago. My church home is Bellevue Baptist located on Chicago’s south side where I serve under Pastor Lucious Fullwood.
1 SoL Records is an extension of the ministry that I have been called to. I am the vessel by which the Holy Spirit whispers the songs that I pen. It has been about a decade of challenge to get to this point but the Lord has been a faithful provider for all required needs.
Dr. St. Luke 17:10,

Humbly submitted,
Rev. Dr. Forrest James Robinson, Doc St. Luke

Co-CEO and Director of A&R

Sylvester Harper, is the son of the renowned gospel singer and recording artist Mrs. Ethel Holloway, from Chicago Illinois. He began playing the piano, and other musical instruments by ear at the age of eight. Throughout his formative years, a natural gift for music was apparent, learning to play drums, bass guitar, some brass instruments, and studying the quality of other musical sounds from many other instruments. Sylvester started teaching at a private school funded by the city of Chicago in 1982 called American Music Hall of Fame, which was organized by renowned jazz musician, the late Mr. Ben Branch. The school was designed to improve gifted musicians. After the school closed its program, Sylvester taught music privately in his home for a several years before he was asked to teach in a Catholic grade school as a teacher’s aid for music and became the music teacher of that school for eight years. During that time, Sylvester drew an interest in music with synthesizers and decided to compose music of his own which landed him a recording deal Metropolis Entertainment Group Inc. Sylvester recorded his first album “Head Over Heels” in the fall of 1994 which was released in January 1995. He was on the cover of Showcase Chicago newspaper in March 1995. There were many articles written about him from other local newspapers in Chicago such as: The Illinois Entertainer, Villa Park Review, and many others. The album was nominated for a Grammy Award in seven categories in 1995.
